Dr niero Rajarubendra

Grew up in the South Eastern suburbs where he attended Westall Secondary College. Having grown up in the local neighborhood, he is familiar with both the local area and people.

Dr Niero completed his medical degree at Monash University, and continued on to do his internship and residency at the Austin Hospital. It was from here that he pursued his interest in research and academia, completing his Doctor of Medicine from the University of Melbourne in conjunction with Austin Health and Ludwig Institute for Cancer Research.

He then went into the Advanced Surgical Training program for Urology and was admitted as a Fellow of Royal Australasian College of Surgery in 2015.

Dr Niero is unique amongst his peers having undertaken a competitive two year internationally recognised fellowship in Advanced laparoscopic and robotic surgery at the University of Southern California, Los Angeles, USA. Here he was trained by world leaders in minimally invasive surgery, in a high volume environment.

Dr Niero undertook a two year Advanced laparoscopic and robotic fellowship at the Keck School of Medicine, University of Southern California (USC). Mentored by Prof. Inderbir Gill a world leader in robotic and Laproscopic surgery, he participated in more than 250 laparoscopic/robotic cases.

Research

Research is an integral part for Dr Niero’s practice. He has dedicated significant time to this pursuit and has numerous accolades to his name, including completing his Doctorate of Medicine.
